3 Films to Watch Now - July Recommendations

Editors Note: Here's a guest post from the Everett Film Festival crew with a few movie recommendations for our readers.

Here are this month's film recommendations from the Everett Film Festival that you can watch right now:

WONDER WOMEN! This film is about the untold stories of real American Superheroines, some of whom are Lynda Carter, Gloria Steinem, and Lindsay Wagner. You can watch it here.

DR RUBY: This documentary was screened at the 2016 Festival. It is the story of the first Japanese woman doctor to serve the Seattle area. Her story is particularly poignant because she placed in an internment camp during the beginning of WWll while she was still in medical school. One of her daughters attended the festival, and participated in a Q&A after the screening. You can watch it here.

THE HEARTFOLLOWERS: This short film is about a Norwegian family of five that had a dream of living off the grid, and then did it! Together they built a geodesic dome around their home in the Arctic, and are so committed to their way of life that they changed their name to Heartfollowers in their native Norwegian. You can view their home on the 10 minute film on their website.
