Our 5 Favorite Desserts in Everett
We did a round robin with some of the Live In Everett folks & friends to chime in on each of our individual favorite dessert spots. Here's where we landed.
1. Lombardi's Italian - All Their Desserts (Laura Chism)
"They're all really good. Great gelato- several different kinds, and it's from Italy. Authentic. The salted carmel is REALLY GOOD. Also the panna cotta (which is like a custard) is great. It's not too heavy, really flavorful, and perfectly light and fluffy."
2. The New Mexicans - Pie (Tyler Chism)
"I'm a pie guy. Cake is for elementary kids and birthdays only (unless it's carrot cake). They have the the best pies in the world. We even had them make pies for our wedding, which, everyone should do. My favorite is the coconut cream when they have it, but if they don't, they're all delicious. If it's any type of pie from the New Mexicans, and you're eating it, you're having a good day."
3. Mikie's Restaurant - Milkshakes (Anna Tatistcheff)
"The Oreo shake is certainly satisfying, and you can't go wrong with the classic chocolate. Similar to Ray's, they have a ton of different flavors. Just a good ol' classic taste. The sizes are very generous, too. My husband and I usually split a small."
4. Choux Choux Bakery - Croissant (Garret Hunt)
"I know a croissant isn't a typical dessert, but c'mon. We all know there's enough butter in there for it to qualify. I recently discovered the Choux Choux croissant without much expectation, but I was very impressed. The texture and flavor was outstanding. Certainly well above par. You'll just have to try it out to understand."
5. The New Mexicans - Cinnamon Roll (Esther Hunt)
"Their cinnamon rolls are delicious, huge, and affordable. And this isn't an Everett thing, they're my favorite cinnamon roll hands down. Even better than Maltby Cafe (IMHO). I love that I can get multiple servings out of one... I'll buy one to-go and enjoy it 2 or 3 different times over a couple days. That'll give me my fix for a few months. It's also nice that you can go into The New Mexicans in the morning and get them when they're freshly baked. Hot out of the oven.. they might even let you choose which one you want 😊."
