Spot Check: Memo's Mexican Food

Sometimes, you crave a street taco at 2 in the morning. Sometimes, you are on your way to work at 5am and really want some huevos rancheros. Sometimes, you want a quesadilla bigger than your head for under five bucks. In Everett, there is one place to go that will meet all of these needs, and that is Memo's.

If you aren't familiar with Memo's, let me tell you a little about it. First, it is open 24 hours. That means anytime of day that you get a craving for Mexican, they are there for you. The restaurant is located on Evergreen Way, across from Rodland Toyota, and is hard to miss. As you can see in the picture, they decided to paint the building in red and yellow stripes, so it stands out against its neighbors.

The food it self is much closer aligned with authentic Mexican food than the other fast food restaurants you may have seen around. Staple menu items include soft tacos (the street taco style), quesadillas, burritos, tortas (a Mexican sandwich) and others.

One big difference is that they make your food when you order it. No eating a burrito that has been sitting under a heat lamp. This means that you may have to wait an extra couple of minutes, but you will definitely appreciate it when you bite into that enchilada.

The prices are also very reasonable. The jumbo burritos, which are probably more food than someone should eat in one sitting, range for 3 bucks for your basic bean & cheese to a little over 5 for a burrito stuffed with what very well could be an entire chicken worth of meat.

Seriously guys, check this place out. 6919 Evergreen Way.
