Everett Real Estate Market Update: December 2017

Happy Holidays!

December is here in full throttle. Lets check out how the Everett real estate market's doing. Here are some quick-stats from last month, November 2017:

For comparison, let's take a look at the previous month, October 2017:

Wowza. From October to November the average home price went up $10,000 over a single month from $356k up to $366k. Days on market slowed by an average of 3 days over the month. The number of homes sold also dropped slightly from 247 homes sold in October down to 228 homes sold in November.

The slow down in market time and number of homes is not a surprise since things typically get slower as we transition into winter and the holidays. For broader perspective, let's take a look at last years quick-stats, November 2016:

This is where we always see the bigger changes. From 2016 to 2017 for the month of November the average home price in Everett increased $32,000. Average days on market sped up slightly this year, and the number of homes sold went from 181 last November to 228 this November. An increase of 26%.

Once again, all signs are pointing toward a continual increase in the Everett real estate market.
