5 Faves: South Everett

South Everett. A very happening part of the city to live in. It's certainly been overlooked in the past for no good reason.

Here is your informal guide to having a good time south of HWY 526.

Brewpubs

Why is Everett so cool? Good question. We have three (three!) brew pubs within a mile radius on the south end of town.

Check out Lazy Boy Brewing, Middleton Brewing, and Crucible Brewing. Visit them back to back if you can. Maybe you'll wanna walk or rope someone into being your designated driver because beers

Skate Deck
9700 19th Ave SE
(425) 337-0202

Remember when roller skating was so cool? Well guess what---it still is!

Strap on your four-wheeled shoes and cruise around the rink. You can spin to the beat and hit up the arcade. Ask your mom to drop you off around the corner so your friends don't see you pull up in a minivan.

Note: Skate Deck is only open Friday through Sunday. Party accordingly.

Glacier Lanes
9630 Evergreen Way
Everett, WA 98204

(425) 353-8292

What's up with that weird triangular-shaped building off of Evergreen Way? Oh that's right-- it's the best bowling alley in town.

Bowling is, of course, it's own reward. But Glacier Lanes has a full restaurant, pull tabs, and, yes, you can eat pizza while you bowl.

Regal Everett Stadium 16
1402 SE Everett Mall Way
(844) 462-7342

There are, for whatever reason, precious few movie theaters in Snohomish County. And we have one!

Q: What is better than sitting back and chilling with a fat buttery popcorn and a container with enough Coca-Cola to swim in?

A: Nothing. Nothing is better.

L'Artisan Bakery
11419 19th Ave SE # B103
(425) 379-8401

Yes, we put two French bakeries in our top 15. Beautiful Everett. Good Everett.

L' Artisan, tucked into a quiet strip mall near Silver Lake, is authentic. The head baker, Jaime, is French. These pastries are not joking around: all the real butter, sugar, and flaky crust that is ever-so-appropriate for true Gallic baking. They also serve espresso from Caffe Vita.

Get the chocolate croissant and sit on the little patio and watch ducks. You won't regret it.

Honorable mention. Speaking of South Everett, I've always thought that this statue is really cool. I understand it's part of a cemetery, but look how cool of a landmark.

That's about it. Thanks for reading and chime in with your on favorite South Everett spots on our FB page. Cheers!
