Need to throw a great holiday party? Let Mazatlan do the work.

For many, holiday stress can begin with Halloween, the start of candy season. Sweets get old by the time Christmas rolls around, and there's still Valentine's Day and Easter to contend with.

If you're planning a holiday party, that first sugar hangover should be a reminder to get on the phone, secure a venue, and look forward to something more substantial to snack on. If you haven't done that yet, you're in luck! Mazatlan reached out to let us know they'd love to host your party.

I met up with owners Marci and Ricardo recently to learn more about holiday parties at Mazatlan, and here's what you need to know.

CALL MARCI SOON. LIKE, RIGHT NOW OR TOMORROW.

A lot of holiday parties are held in November because December is so full of the actual holidays, travel, shopping, and year-end meetings. Get your November reservation now before the day you want is gone. Thursday, Friday, and Saturday are in high demand.

THEY'VE GOT THE SPACE

If everyone coming is 21+, up to 85 people can fit in the bar.

The back room can hold up to 60 people, and I was surprised to learn that all the furniture can be moved and reconfigured, even the booths!

If you're a regular at Mazatlan and don't want to worry about waiting for a table because of holiday parties, make a reservation using OpenTable.

TELL YOUR GUESTS TO SHOW UP HUNGRY

Obviously the food is the best and most important part, and Marci's ready to make the most of your budget. Keep it simple with a taco or fajita bar, or create a custom menu with selections from the full one. Vegetarian and gluten-free options are available, and any food allergy can be accommodated.

If you'd like to see the restaurant and try their food first, stop by for lunch, happy hour, or dinner seven days a week.

They have a brunch menu and buffet on Sunday, and the brunch menu items are available during lunch every day. You can also check out the recent Live in Everett TV: An Inside Look at Mazatlan Mexican Restaurant.

For all your party planning needs, call Marci at 425-404-3084, or email everett@themazatlan.com

Mazatlan is located at 1325 Pacific, at the Northwest corner of Pacific and Rucker. Their parking garage on Grand has a hallway leading to the restaurant, so you don't even have to go outside if you get a space there. They open daily at 11:00am, closing at 10:00pm Monday-Thursday, 11:00pm Friday and Saturday, and 9:00pm Sunday. Happy hour is 3:00-7:00 and 9:00-close daily, and all day Sunday.

Christopher Bragg works from home in Everett and loves walking, swimming, and cats. You can find him all over town, but only if you keep weird hours and avoid crowds like he does.
