Spot Check: Stuffington’s Ceramics & More

This story is brought to you by Live in Everett Member, Lamoureux Real Estate.

Crafts have always been a part of Claire and Colleen’s lives and a keystone of their friendship. It only made sense that when the planets aligned, and the former owner retired, they embraced the opportunity to buy The Ceramics Place on 112th street in South Everett (next to Piroshky & Crepes). They made some much-needed renovations and reopened as Stuffington’s Ceramics & More.

They wanted a place where they could craft daily, and more importantly: they could build a community where people can craft and be together in a safe, welcoming environment. A place where people can create memories and mark milestone events in their lives.

The team at Stuffington’s is trained to help people at any level of artistic skill and talent. Even those of us who rage quit on crafts (*clears throat*) can leave feeling good about crafting and have a piece of art they’re proud to show off. In addition to ceramic painting, the team offers acrylic canvas painting, craft workshops, and monthly special events, including some just for adults.

Follow their Facebook page to keep up on their event calendar. You’ll want to pencil November 26th and 27th in your calendar to attend their Holiday Bazaar where you can purchase unique gifts created by the Stuffington’s team, or by their extended crafting family. There will also be space available for regular ceramics painting on these days.

If you’ve never painted ceramics before, it is an experience. You arrive at the shop, wash your hands, select pieces that you want to paint, and then paint, paint, paint. Stuffington’s then fires your one-of-a-kind pieces in their kilns and you come back in 5-7 days to pick them up. They offer many, many different pieces so there is something for everyone. Visit their Instagram page for loads of inspiration.

One thing is for sure, the team at Stuffington’s sure like to party! They will host your party or event and have add-ons available such as age-appropriate goodie bags, catering or bottomless beverages, and themed decorations. You can even rent the entire studio if you have 20 or more guests.

If you’re looking for a fun evening with the kids, or a girls’ night out, load up the car and head to Stuffington’s. Call ahead for parties of five or more so they can ensure you have the space you need.
