6 Tips For Enjoying the Everett Food Truck Festival

My oh my, the Everett Food Truck Festival is coming quick on Saturday August 27th. Here are 6 tips for enjoying the festival.

1. Make a game plan
We're talking digestion strategy here, people. We're thinking show up, receive your free festival guide (either from a volunteer passing them out or swing by the Live In Everett tent) and browse the 20+ options for heavenly grub. Hone in on grub session #1. After meal #1, check out the Everett Markers Market, the beer garden, the kids activities or bring your favorite hackie sack. After you've killed a little time, then go enjoy meal numbers 2, 3 and 4. Just an idea.

2. Come prepared
We've secured more food trucks and more tables and chairs this year. There's still going to be a lot of people, though. Be ready for lines and limited seating. Bring your sunscreen (it's supposed to be a hot one!) and leave margin in your schedule. It'll be sooo worth it.

3. Wear your walking shoes
The Bubble Run is the same day, so multiple streets will be closed and parking will take time. Plan for it. There is free parking on weekends at the Everpark Garage at 2815 Hoyt (located 2.5 blocks SW of the festival).

4. Enjoy it all
More than just food, the Everett Maker's Market will be on site with over 20 different local vendors who make sweet handmade stuff. The Imagine Children's Museum will have kids activities and Wicked Cellars will have a beer garden. As we noted in our recommended digestion strategy, definitely take time to enjoy it all!

5. Get some Everett Swag
Come visit us at the Live In Everett tent. We'll be in the middle of the festival just South of 26th street. We'll have free festival guides along with Everett-centric swag for sale. T-shirts, license plate covers, pens, and bumper stickers will be fresh off the press for ya.

6. Help us be nice to the earth
We're partnering with the City of Everett, WSU, and Cedar Grove to keep as much stuff out of landfills as possible. We'll have five waste collection stations with volunteers helping you sort your waste into either garbage, compost, or recycling. Try to use only these stations and not any of the city garbage cans on the sidewalk. With our powers combined we can do good to Mother Earth.

The Everett Food Truck Festival will be going from 9am-5pm on Colby Ave between Everett Ave and 25th street. You can get more details here. We could also still use some more volunteers, particularly for shift #4.

See you on Saturday August 27th!
