MUSIC AT THE MARINA
THURSDAY AND SATURDAY AT THE WATERFRONT

The weather looks perfect for Music at the Marina this week. Get down on Everett's best outdoor dance floor this Thursday and Saturday. Thursday's act is Fly Moon Royalty; Saturday's is The Stacy Jones Band. Check out the 2016 music schedules here. Reserve a table here.

SUP & SIP
SATURDAY & SUNDAY AT THE EVERETT MARINA

Rumor has it that in early July Hydrology Stand Up Paddle will begin offering paddle tours of the Everett Marina that'll be followed by cocktails at Bluewater Distilling. We say it's a rumor because they don't have complete details on their website yet, but you can get the gist of it here. We've reached out for more info and will update you all next week.

THE EVERETT FARMERS MARKETS
EVERY FRIDAY AND SUNDAY

Load up on handcrafted goods and farm-fresh produce at Everett's totally awesome Farmers Markets. Friday's Market is at the Everett Mall from 3-7 PM and Sunday's Market is at Boxcar Park from 11-4 PM. More info here.

CHUCK CLOSE:  PRINTS, PROCESS, COLLABORATION

There are nearly 90 large-scale prints and working proofs by artist Chuck Close on display at the Schack Art Center right now. Admission is just $10. You MUST go see this. More info.

EAT + DRINK

We met some friends at Sol Food for happy hour last week and had the most epic and delicious gut-bomb, ever. It's a huge sandwich with mixed cheeses, chorizo, arugula, smokey tomato vinaigrette & Sol sauce served on a locally made telera roll. It's only $5.50, too.

Tropicos Express is a small, unassuming Salvadorian restaurant on Wetmore that is seriously good. The service is fast and the food is unique and delicious. We like the Tropibowl for lunch. It's all of the goodness of a burrito served in a bowl. It seems healthy, tastes super fresh and is big enough to split or get two meals out of. They also have a breakfast burrito that has sweet plantains and chorizo inside of it. It's SO GOOD (and also big enough to split). This place has another location in Seattle that's super popular and it's only a matter of time before Everett catches on.

ON THE BLOG

Two sweet houses came on the market this week. One's an updated view home on Grand Ave. and the other is a Rucker Hill mid-century beauty that oozes style. Check it out, here

Next Monday is the 4th of July! We have a list of happenings on the blog, here.

The Everett Film Festival crew sent over their monthly guest post with a list of three movie recommendations. Check it out, here.

The prolific Elizabeth Person put up another Sketchy Everett last week. Check it.

IN OTHER NEWS

We've had lots of people vote for Everett's best fish & chips in the July EVVY Awards and at this point it looks like it's a battle between Ray's and Scuttlebutt. Voting ends this week. Go vote here.

We're hiring part time admin support. Interested? It's about 10 (flexible) hours per week. More info here.

THANK YOU SPONSORS

We opened a handful of sponsorship opportunities to local businesses and we're thrilled to announce that Mazatlan Mexican Restaurant (Everett), Lamoureux Real Estate, Silver Cup Coffee Cafe and Home Bridge Financial Services have all pitched in to sponsor Live in Everett. In an attempt to be transparent, this money will help us grow our team and pay for some of the Everett Food Truck Festival expenditures. We (Tyler & Garret) get our income from selling real estate so every dollar generated from sponsors and swag sales goes directly back into growing Live in Everett and will (hopefully) make it better and more useful for all of you. So, thanks sponsors. You rock and we appreciate the heck out of you!
