SHARE WITH THE MAYOR
TUESDAY AT THE DOWNTOWN LIBRARY

Miss reading the troll comments for Mayor Stephenson in the Herald's former comment section? Then head to the Library's downtown branch on Tuesday from 12:30 PM – 1:30 PM to hear from the Mayor and probably a handful of his critics. Okay, in all seriousness it should be a good and informative time for civic-minded folks and we're grateful that our government wants to engage and connect with us. More info here.

EAT + DRINK

Express Mexican Grill is the new food truck on 24th & Broadway (parked outside Tim's Bike Shop). We paid 'em a visit last Friday and we're kind of worried about how good it is. We already eat out way too much (blame the EVVY awards) and this will likely put us over the edge – being that it's so close to our office and REALLY delicious. They're open Tuesday-Saturday from 10 A.M. – 4 P.M. Live in Everett readers can get 10% off all orders plus a free horchata when you spend more than $20. Say promo code "Everett Food Truck" when you order at the window. See more and check out the menu on their Facebook, here.

Here's something everyone should do on a sunny Sunday in Everett. Grab a buddy and head to Silver Cup Cafe around 11 A.M. or so, go inside, order an iced coffee of some sort. Then, hit the road on foot and walk down to the Everett Farmers Market. It doesn't matter which route you take because every route is full of beautiful views. Grab lunch at the market and load up on whatever else you need for the week. Also, be sure to grab something in season to snack on for the walk back. The Rainer cherries are divine right now. It's about 4 miles and mostly flat. There are public restrooms and water fountains available once you get down to the waterfront/market area.

ON THE BLOG

We listed our top 5 places to grab a drink on a sunny day in Everett. Kind of irrelevant this week but you should check it out here and file it away for the next sunny day.

We interviewed one of the owners of Everett's new brewery, At Large Brewing. Read it here.
