Live in Everett

What's Up, September?

September: that liminal month when nature downshifts into chill evenings and shorter days. You know: sweaters, mugs of cider, crunchy leaves, all that stock photo stuff.

Everett’s hopping this month. I’m pretty excited for everything that’s happening. Here’s the scoop on seasonal goings-on.

SCHACK-TOBERFEST

September 14-24

Schack-toberfest is actually in September.

This is a seasonal celebration featuring over 700 blown-glass pumpkins made on the premises at the Schack Art Center

Pumpkins range in price from $34 to several hundred dollars for the big fellas. Your average glass gourd comes in around $50, so you can support local artists and get festive without dipping too deep into your candy corn funds.

The event is free to the public, no need for tickets.

PINTS & PUMPKINS

Thursday, September 21, 6-9P

Schack-toberfest culminates in the Pints & Pumpkins event. It's an evening where you get a commemorative Schack pint glass, a drink ticket, and sample bites from Lombardi’s. The gala is held in the gallery, which will be full of glass pumpkins. There will be live music, live glass blowing demonstrations. There is also a silent auction where you can bid on fine art by local artists, created just for this event.

Pints & Pumpkins tickets usually go fast, so it pays to buy them as far in advance as possible.

The event is 21+ because booze.

EVERETT SAUSAGE FESTIVAL

September 29-30 & October 1

A seasonal Everett's event since 1976! The festival is a family-friendly fall carnival with all the seasonal goodies: amusement park rides, live music, raffles, games, weenie-roast, a beer garden, and wine tastings. Proceeds go to the local Catholic school.

Admission is free!

UPPER LEFT BEER FESTIVAL

September 16 & 17

Calling all stout people, all blondes: hop to it. Time to guzzle IPAs. The two-day Upper Left Beer Festival features drinks from 40 Washington State breweries and wineries. This will seriously be a good time. Bring your friends, check out the food trucks and live stage.

It's up to you. What's your pleasure?

MAKERS MARKET

September 23, 12PM-5PM

The pop up market will be in the Potala Place courtyard outside of Choux Choux Bakery this month.

Some of our very favorite vendors will be there, including Vertical Gardens, Elizabeth Person Art & Design, and Art of Rosemary.

Came take your pick: handcrafted soap, pottery, jewelry, aromatherapy oils. All local. All awesome.

That's about all I got. What else is fun? Leave a comment on the FB page with everything that's good and September-y.
