Sketchy Everett V24: KSER Radio Station

Click for full view.

This Friday, I got to stop by our very own radio station KSER 90.7, and sketch during a live show!

Every Friday starting at 8:30, DJ Henry J produces the show The Stereo Wire - two hours of alternative music, often from PNW bands. This night, he interviewed drummer Mary of "delicious" local band Oliver Elf Army, the eve of their EP release 'Telescope.' Mary shared many her favorite music from Depeche Mode to Pulp...to Oliver Elf Army's entire EP! Listen here.

Henry began his music show, The Stereo Wire, about 6 years ago, after hearing about a community education class offered by KSER on Basic Broadcasting. I learned that KSER is the only public radio station in Snohomish County! It's completely reliant on it's dedicated show producers who volunteer their time to give us wonderful, listener-funded programming.

When I tune in, I never know what I'll discover...from vintage surfer music to Nordic instrumentals to the coolest "unmarketable" band in town. Turn it up!
