Everett Real Estate Market Update: January 2019
Happy New Year!
Each month we like to take a look at how the Everett real estate market is trending.* Brought to you by our friends at Lamoureux Real Estate.
Let’s dive into last month’s numbers, December 2018:
For comparison, let’s compare that to the previous month’s, November 2018:
From November 2018 to December 2018:
The number of homes sold decreased from 173 to 155.
Average days on market increased from 32 to 41.
The average price dropped $4,000 to $393,000.
Across the board, the Everett market showed signs of slowing again in December. For a broader comparison, let’s compare to this time last year, December 2017:
December 2017 compared to December 2018:
About 22% less homes sold December 2018.
Homes took an average of 10 days longer to sell.
Prices this December were still $33,000 higher than they were last December.
Even though the market has been cooling the last few months, prices are still up quite a bit compared to last year. We’ll keep you posted as things progress. It will be very interesting to see which way things trend come Spring.
