We love you for Ever-ett - Valentine's Day 2017
Everett is for lovers. In fact, it was voted one of the most romantic cities in the US (true story).
Here are some tips and advice on things to do for Valentine's Day 2017 in Everett.
If You're Dating/Married
Casually Dating: If it's a first or second date, go somewhere you'll make a good impression and will be easy to hold a conversation. These spots all have well-lit romantic vibes.
- Emory's on Silver Lake
- Lombardi's
- Katana Sushi
- J. Ramen and Sushi
- Teracotta Red
- Bluewater Organic Distilling
Seriously Dating or Married: If you've been together for awhile, don't get lazy and stay in watching Netflix. Yeah, Valentine's Day is a corporate sham, but life is short. Go out and have fun with your love.
Start with a walk at the Marina (ask lots of questions), grab dinner at any of the waterfront restaurants, then finish the night off with drinks at the Anchor Pub or At Large Brewing. Stay out late, enjoy each other. Don't drink too much though... you know why. It's Tuesday...
If You are Single
Start off listening to this song. Or, uh, this song. Pour yourself a glass of Charles Shaw, draw a bath, get in the bath. Cry. Go to bed.
JK, being single isn't bad! Don't let this holiday fool you into thinking you're not special. Do whatever you want, stay out late with friends, eat a whole pie, fart in bed - whatever suits your fancy. Some of my favorite places to go with friends or when I'm flying solo are:
- The New Mexicans (we dig their cinnamon rolls)
- Taco Tuesday at Sol Food or Mazatlan Mexican Restaurant
- For bars: The Anchor Pub, The Irishmen Pub, The Soundview, The Fireplace
- For dessert: Milkshakes from Mikie's, Henry's Donuts, and TCBY.
If you have kids
Meh, it's a weeknight anyways. Probably not worth getting a sitter. Put the kids to bed, grab a movie, order a pizza from Major League or Thai from Bhu Ping. Share some wine (get something good from Wicked Cellars), or a La Croix then go hard on some Ben and Jerry's. Wait until Friday to go out.
If You're on a budget
If you're on a budget but want to impress your date, hit up one of these spots. All offer food deals for less than $10/person.
- Happy Hour at Lombardi's or Anthony's Woodfire
- Bhu Ping Thai (we recommend the crab wontons with pineapple sauce)
- Mazatlan Mexican Restaurant
- Moontree Asian Tapas (the best happy hour in Everett)
- Kai Sushi
- Kama'aina Grindz
- NYP Bar and Grill
If You Want A Valentines Day Menu
Don't wanna think? Just wanna pay? We get it. Here are restaurants in Everett offering a special Valentine's Menu. Note, I'll add to this list up until Feb 14th.
- Lombardi's - Special Valentine's Menu
- Terracotta Red - $90 four course meal for two with live music.
- Emory's on Silver Lake - Special Valentine's Menu
- Wicked Cellars has an aphrodisiac wine/food pairing menu for $100/person all inclusive.
- Kama'Aina Grindz has Valentine's Grindz for two.
