We’ve been waiting all year to browse the lovely creations by our local makers only to have events canceled one after another. Sorticulture, Fresh Paint and The Evergreen Marketplace were all canceled and the Everett Farmers Market had lots of restrictions so we felt bad lingering too long to enjoy all the pretty things.
Now it is down to the wire and we really need our makers so we can check all the locally-made-with-love things off our holiday shopping list. Here’s a roundup of where you can purchase handmade goods to support local artists and keep your hard-earned money in our community.

Toggle’s Bottle Shop

Everett Makers Market teamed up with Toggle’s Bottle Shop to transform the taproom into a temporary home for local artisans and their handmade goods including photography, art prints, pottery, plants, skincare, and jewelry amongst an assortment of other handcrafted items. Patrons can also choose from a selection of more than 700 craft beers, ciders, mead, kombucha and seltzers from Toggle’s extensive bottle shop with a focus on local, independent brewers. Please remember that Toggle’s is a 21+ establishment.

Schack is always well stocked with all the best handmade goods year-round including hand blown and kiln formed glass, ceramics, wood, fiber and jewelry. You’ll find thousands of items from over 200 local artists. Every Thursday in December, receive 10% off regularly priced items (Patron Members will save 20%).
Online Options
The Evergreen Market Place
Knowing how impacted local makers were by the cancelation of The Evergreen Marketplace, Snohomish county is working to create a directory of Washington State makers. You will find links to each maker’s commerce site. If you know a maker, send them the link so they can register their business.
Etsy
Etsy is an online marketplace where a lot of local makers have virtual storefronts. It can be challenging to find local makers on this website with shops from around the globe, but if you select the category you want to shop, you are given the option to filter results with a custom shop location. You may still find that the results are too broad, so consider setting up an Etsy account so you can “favorite” the shops you love and create a more curated shopping experience.
Citrine Market
Their doors are closed for shopping, so browse their selection of jewelry, clothing and skincare online. Items have been donated to support Citrine Health in their mission to connect women and their families to services and resources for health and wellness.
Local Tunes
With concerts canceled this year, it has been tough to get a hold of music by our local artists. Your best bet is to go to Bandcamp, for vinyl, digital downloads and merch, a platform known for fairly sharing profits with artists. Not all artists have albums for purchase, so send them some love by streaming their music on your favorite streaming platform.
