Sketchy Everett Volume 6: Hoyt Post Office Before Christmas
There is only one place during the holidays that surpasses the popularity of Santa photos or the mall parking lot...the post office. The long queues of patient (and impatient) customers bring an unlikely range of Everett neighbors shoulder to shoulder.
It's become a Christmas tradition for me to stand in those lines and wonder about everyone's stories. "What may be inside that box he's holding? Who is she mailing that package to? How far will that stack of letters travel?" Nothing slows down time quite like waiting in the endless Christmas post office line.
