5 Fast Favorites: Max Stephens, Fuzz Mutt

Max Stephens and his band Fuzz Mutt have been on the rise, playing Sound Off!, Band in Seattle and 2019’s Bumbershoot Festival. Max stopped by the podcast to share his Five Fast Favorites from his episode of the Live in Everett Podcast. Listen to the whole episode here.

1. FAVORITE PLACE IN EVERETT TO TELL FRIENDS ABOUT?

Black Lab Gallery

The hangout for local shows, Black Lab Gallery has been an incubator for the Everett music scene. You can catch Fuzz Mutt there often, and you never know what might happen during one of their sets!

(story time: I saw Fuzz Mutt at Black Lab and during their last song an amplifier blew up, sending smoke and an awful burnt electrical smell into the air. It was pretty awesome.)

2. FAVORITE PLACE IN EVERETT TO GET OUTSIDE?

Downtown Everett

There is a whole lot to do, eat and see in downtown Everett. And now you can get around easily by hopping on a Lime scooter (but don’t be a jerk when you ride one).

3. FAVORITE PLACE IN EVERETT HANDS DOWN.

Black Lab Gallery

Black Lab is pretty special. They also have gallery showings and board game nights alongside their music offerings. Check out their calendar to find something fun to get into.

4. FAVORITE ANNUAL EVENT IN EVERETT?

Fisherman’s Village Music Festival

Fisherman’s is kind of the Everett music scene’s Superbowl… or Comicon… or something like that. Three days of hanging with friends, watching incredible bands and eating a whooooole lot of food truck food. We look forward to it every year!

5. FAVORITE HIDDEN GEM IN EVERETT?

Lanna Thai

A favorite among Everettites, Lanna Thai has some crazy-good dishes. We ate there once on camera, too.
