Live In Everett Podcast Ep 8: Public Health and Safety With Hil Kaman (2 of 2)
We often talk about the bright future and changing face of our community in terms of economic and cultural development. These are great things, indeed, and we're falling in love with our city more and more these days. However, at the same time, Everett (like many other communities) faces challenges like addiction, homelessness, poverty, mental illness, etc.
Real, human issues.
How do we address these issues compassionately and deal with the cognitive dissonance of wanting a healthy, vibrant, and safe community, while simultaneously caring for, and trying to understand those dealing with addiction and mental illness?
In our interview with Hil Kaman, the City of Everett's Public Health and Safety Director we discuss these questions, and learn all about what the Mayor's office is doing to make Everett a safer place for us all.
Enjoy part two of a two-part interview below.
