A Pho-nomenal Experience: Pho Asia Noodle House

I recently visited Pho Asia Noodle House on Everett Mall Way for lunch. Located in Everett’s coolest strip mall, I must say, I was "pho-nomenally" impressed.

My visit was prompted after a friend raved about Pho Asia Noodle House (thanks, John!), and I'm glad I took his advice. No wonder they won 2nd place in our 2019 Best Pho EVVY Award. How had I never tried this place?

Upon entering, I was greeted by friendly and fast service. My server, Bay, was from Laos and was incredibly kind and helpful. As a novice pho-eater, I appreciated she took the time to explain the menu and recommend some of the best dishes. I went with the vegetarian options and ordered the Cha Gio Chay (veggie fried egg rolls) for an appetizer and the Pho Chay (veggie pho) with tofu for my main course.

The pho was a perfect blend of flavors, with the broth having simmered for over 12 hours, giving it a rich and delicious taste. I opted for the umami sauce, but there were also chili and other options available. The sides included bean sprouts, fresh basil, and a squeeze of lime which helped take the dish to the next level. And the crunch of the veggie fried egg rolls was a delightful contrast to the broth-based pho. Speaking of broth, I opted for the veggie broth, but word has it that their beef broth packs the most flavor.

Making my meal even more delicious, I ordered the Cafe Sua Da (iced coffee with condensed milk) for my drink. The sweet flavor hit the spot perfectly. The restaurant's atmosphere was spacious, with both side walls featuring mirrors that made the space feel even bigger. The quiet instrumental music was a lovely touch, adding to the relaxed vibe.
