Stevie Ray Visited with Randy Hansen Tributes to Stevie Ray Vaughn and Jimi Hendrix

"Stevie Ray Visited" is a biographical blues/rock show that celebrates the life and music of the late great Stevie Ray Vaughan.

Now his music lives on with the show “STEVIE RAY VISITED,” featuring Roby Duron, named “Best Blues Guitar Player” by LA Rock City News.

"STEVIE RAY VISITED" delivers all the hits like "House is a Rockin'," "Pride and Joy," "Mary Had a Little Lamb," "Crossfire," "Texas Flood," and many more!

Randy is a U.S. guitarist best known for his emulation of Jimi Hendrix. He has a bit of a physical resemblance to Hendrix in his facial features. He carries that resemblance further by emulating signatures of Hendrix's style, such as playing the guitar with his teeth or behind his back. His music appeared in the 1979 film Apocalypse Now, and his debut album was released in 1980 on Capitol Records. Hansen's high-energy guitar work has earned praise from fellow Dutch-American legendary guitarist Eddie Van Halen (in Guitar Player magazine), among others. He also was a good friend of the late Stevie Ray Vaughan (writing a song about him called "Texas Twister" from his Old Dogs New Tricks CD). He has toured and played with literally hundreds of famous musicians and groups.

Free Holiday fun for the whole family!
Lights on every night at 4 PM and off at 8 PM

Wintertide Lights began in 2020 and continues to grow every year, delighting visitors from all over. Solstice Walk was added in 2023 and was so popular it is expanding too! Saturday, December 21st from 5-7 PM come enjoy a winter walk with luminaries and a book reading for kids in our gazebo every 45 minutes starting at 5 PM.

Two Luminary Workshops Saturday, December 7th & 14th from 4-6 PM

Kids and adults love creating their own luminaries! Our children’s workshops on Dec 7 and 14 from 4-6 PM are taught in the Arboretum Classroom by staff from Imagine Children’s Museum. But the Seniors Group at the YMCA and teens from Schack Center also hold their own luminary classes. Luminaries can be made many ways, using bags, globes or even milk jugs!

Come back with your luminaries on December 21st for Solstice Walk! If you don’t have time to make your own, milk jug luminaries will be available (a $5 donation is suggested) at the event.

Support Wintertide Lights

Please donate to our general fund to ensure this continues to be an exciting, free event. Any amount helps. A $50 donation lights up an arborvitae gnome, while a $250 donation lights a tree. We acknowledge your gnome or tree donation on signage at the event and on our website under donations.
