Lonnie Dalrymple, Mindfulness Meditation Instructor, former board member, and congregant of Everett Unity will be teaching a weekly  Mindfulness Meditation class. Your generous love offering is gratefully accepted.

DATE: Every Wednesdays
TIME: 12:00-1:00 p.m.
LOCATION: Church Social Hall

We will discuss the proven benefits of a mindfulness practice and learn the basic structure of Mindfulness Meditation. You will learn how to practice Mindfulness Meditation while sitting and walking. If you can make it to more than one class, you will have the opportunity to discuss how the previous week of practice went, share in supporting and cheering for each other and their progress through this experience. We will continue to add to the information each week so you will have a good foundation for your own practice and growth.

About the instructor.   I have been a member of Unity in Everett for at least 20 years. In October of 2021 I began an intensive five-month training to become a certified Mindfulness meditation instructor. Like many, mindfulness and mindfulness meditation has long been an interest of mine. I have done quite a bit of self-study. So, I had some threads of knowledge.  I needed a foundation to build my personal practice on and the training I received in this class gave me all that and more.

It was an amazing experience to be immersed with other students from around the world, and teachers who are well known to Mindfulness practitioners. Now I know what techniques Brain Scientists and Psychologists (and others who study the effects of Mindfulness Meditation) are talking about when instructing a group of subjects to practice  Mindfulness meditation for 30 days, etc. so they can measure the effects of the practice on our emotions, our mental health and our happiness.

Rain or shine, guests will gather in and around the Port’s Pacific Rim Plaza, near Hotel Indigo, for a night of fright. Here's the spooky schedule:

4 - 6 p.m. - Ghoulish Games and Creepy Crafts - Get your spook on! Enjoy FREE, family-friendly, Halloween-themed fun. Stop by various booths to play ghoulish games, create not-so-creepy crafts provided by our partners at the Imagine Children's Museum, capture the moment at a photo booth, show off your costume and more!

6:15 p.m. – Outdoor movie showing of Hocus Pocus 2 (PG) – Stick around as the sun goes down to enjoy a frightful flick at the Port’s Pacific Rim Plaza, near Hotel Indigo (weather permitting). Chance to win! Turn in completed bingo cards at the orange dropbox located at the Port’s Pacific Rim Plaza (near Hotel Indigo) by November 10, 2024. Cards must have at least one bingo (five in a row) to be entered into a drawing for a chance to win a gift card to your favorite Port of Everett waterfront restaurant. I HAVE NO MOUTH AND I MUST SING: A Drag Queen Hosted Karaoke Horror Show

Calling all ghouls, goblins, and glam monsters!!

Prepare for a night of sheer terror and glittery fabulousness at "I Have No Mouth and I Must Sing", where the haunting vocals are deadly, the shade is sharp as a knife, and blood isn’t just thicker than water—it’s your new accessory.

Sara Femme—your macabre mistress of ceremonies—is serving looks and slaying vocals alongside her deviously delicious special guest queen Rylee Raw. These two are ready to spill the tea and the blood!

And beware... if you dare show up in all white, you will get selectively doused in blood as you sing for your life! A little Carrie moment never hurt anyone, right?
(White Lucky Dime T-Shirts will be available for purchase if you wish to join the blood bath!)

Expect high screams, low blows, and a hauntingly good time as our queens put the “slay” in karaoke. Come for the vocals, stay for the massacre of all things basic. We wanna see you SERVE IT—whether you’re singing Celine Dion or the soundtrack to your worst nightmares.

Blood-stained queens, cursed microphones, and a night where the only thing scarier than your song choice is the queens' shade.

Don't miss the karaoke night that'll have you singing... and SCREAMING.

JUDAS PRIEST

JUDAS PRIEST

Invincible Shield Tour with Special Guest Sabaton

The Invincible Shield Tour North America 2024 featuring Judas Priest with special guest Sabaton will be live at Angel Of The Winds Arena October 9th!

ABOUT JUDAS PRIEST:

There are few heavy metal bands that have managed to scale the heights that Judas Priest have during their 50+ year career. Their presence and influence remain at an all¬-time high as evidenced by 2018's 'Firepower' being the highest ¬charting album of their career, a 2010 Grammy Award win for 'Best Metal Performance', plus being a 2006 VH1 Rock Honors recipient and a 2022 Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductee.

Judas Priest originally formed in 1969 in Birmingham, England (an area that many feel birthed heavy metal). Rob Halford, Glenn Tipton, K.K. Downing and Ian Hill would be the nucleus of musicians (along with several different drummers over the years) that would go on to change the face of heavy metal. After a 'feeling out' period of a couple of albums, 1974's 'Rocka Rolla' and 1976's 'Sad Wings of Destiny' this line¬-up truly hit their stride. The result was a quartet of albums that separated Priest from the rest of the hard rock pack - 1977's 'Sin After Sin', 1978's 'Stained Class' and 'Hell Bent for Leather', and 1979's 'Unleashed in the East', which spawned such metal anthems as 'Sinner', 'Diamonds and Rust', 'Hell Bent for Leather', and 'The Green Manalishi (With the Two-Pronged Crown)'. Also, Priest were one of the first metal bands to exclusively wear leather and studs – a look that began during this era and would eventually be embraced by metal heads throughout the world.
