What’s Everett’s best kept-secret?
I want to say Velton's Coffee, because even though he has his stuff around and some people know who he is and what he does, I don't think they quite understand just how world class what he's doing actually is. But, it is seriously legit.

What does Everett need?
More people engaging more often in more things at more times. Growth happens through activity. So get out and enjoy what we have so we can have more so we can enjoy that stuff. Eat, drink, walk, and hang. Just go and do and be and love Everett because it'll give back.

What’s the funniest thing that ever happened to you at work?
I once gave someone a pseudo Heimlich maneuver at 5:45 in the morning back at my first year at Silver Cup. He was choking on his breakfast doughnut and frantically ran behind the counter for my help. He coughed out the doughnut and refused an ambulance. He then, very slowly went back to his table and sipped on his 20oz iced Peppermint York Patty Mocha. It was terrifying then, but looking back I find it quite funny.

Do you like working in Downtown Everett? Why?
It’s nice. There never seems to be a dull moment living and working in Downtown. Downtown Everett always keeps me on my toes for sure.

What’s your favorite place to eat in Everett?
New Mexicans all of the way. New Mexicans for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. New Mexicans or go home.

What’s your favorite place to drink in Everett? Coffee, or alcohol.
Can I just say that I wish Everett had a coffee cocktail bar? If only.
My favorite place to get a drink is at a craft cocktail bar and farm to table bistro on the marina, Bluewater Distilling. If I’m feeling more lax, I walk on down to the Soundview or the Anchor for some cheap dad beer.

Just kidding.

Everett is a potpurri / grab bag / modgepodge of many peoples, so it’s hard to describe. It’s a curious place. That’s my word. Curious. I’m always caught feeling like Everett is on the cusp of something great, I’m just never quite sure what it is.

What’s Everett’s best kept-secret?
The garden in the back of The Soundview. Makes for a great letter writing or one hell of a makeout spot. Either, or.

A 24/7 juice bar for sure.
