Gentle Yoga
4th Friday of the month, 6:30 p.m.
Pay what you can (suggested $10-$20)
This class is designed to open the body with gentle, slow, and
traditional yoga postures and movements. It’s a combination of
postures coordinated with the breath, performed at a gentle pace
which allows time to be present in each pose. After some gentle
movement, the class will transition to a restorative practice with
longer holds, deeper stretches, and relaxation techniques. This is an all-level class and is suitable for just about anyone. Participants should wear comfortable clothes that allow for a range of movement and stretching. Yoga mats are provided or bring your
own.
Registered Yoga Teacher Cara VanDyke (she / her) approaches the yoga postures as a practice focused on alignment and the functional movement of the body. Her classes are structured with intelligence sequencing that is accessible to all level of students and allows one to be in a state of ease. Cara is dedicated to
anti-racism work and instruction that honors the roots and traditions of yoga. You can count on her to create a safe and judgement-free space where every student can develop a personal practice that extends off the mat and into their life.

NATS is the largest professional association of teachers of singing in the world, with more than 7000 members representing over thirty-five countries. These members represent the diversity of today’s music landscape, teaching in all vocal styles. This association is particularly meaningful to us and we are thrilled to contribute our voices to such a special cause.

The Mall Blaster Battle returns, just in time for the Holidays. Play Holiday-themed blaster game modes, including "Team Grinch vs Team Who" in 7,600 sq ft of unused mall space. Bring your own blasters (foam dart-firing and/or Rival round firing blasters only) or use one of the complimentary loaners that will be available. Bring your own eye protection, water and food, but the darts are provided.
Event entrance is the outdoor Mall Entrance between Floor & More and Burlington.
To celebrate the Season, there will be tons of freebies available, as well as prize giveaways. Enter a raffle for your chance to win exciting blasters and other prizes.

What do twirling Snowflakes, a Nutcracker Prince, a mischievous Mouse King, and pig-tailed Bon Bons need to complete a ballet? A great story teller! A Storybook Nutcracker, now in it’s 24th year in Everett, uses brief narration to bring the story to life. With a cast of over 50 dancers and actors, this production is fully staged, with falling snow, beautiful costumes, and colorful scenery.
Alderwood Dance Spectrum continues this delightful Everett holiday tradition. The ballet has been shortened slightly to make it engaging for all audiences, while retaining its original magic and charm. The characters are friendly and the music is magnificent. Great for ages 3 to 103!

This gentle form of yoga is practiced in a chair. Some standing
poses will be practiced (chairs can be used for support). We will
focus on strength, flexibility, balance, and breath. All welcome –
including those with mobility challenges, those recovering from
surgery, pregnant moms in any stage of pregnancy, and moms in
post-birth recovery! After some gentle movement, the class will
transition to practicing relaxation, breathwork, and meditation
techniques. Wear comfortable clothes that allow for a range of

Registered Yoga Teacher Cara VanDyke (she / her) approaches the yoga postures as a practice focused on alignment and the functional movement of the body. Her classes are structured with intelligence sequencing that is accessible to all level of students and allows one to be in a state of ease. Cara is dedicated to
anti-racism work and instruction that honors the roots and traditions of yoga. You can count on her to create a safe and judgement-free space where every student can develop a personal practice that extends off the mat and into their life.

Join us on December 11 at Port Gardner Bay Winery for the last Engage Everett of 2024. Every December, we host a drive to support a local nonprofit. This year, we are helping Connect Casino Road with a coat drive to support Casino Road families in their case management program.
Please consider bringing these items to donate:
- New/gently-used coats (mainly for infants and children, but older sizing also accepted for teens). For used coats, please bring pre-washed and without major functional/cosmetic damage (zippers, tears, etc.).
- New/gently-used winter boots for children.

Lonnie Dalrymple, Mindfulness Meditation Instructor, former board member, and congregant of Everett Unity will be teaching a weekly Mindfulness Meditation class. Your generous love offering is gratefully accepted.

LOCATION: Church Social Hall
We will discuss the proven benefits of a mindfulness practice and learn the basic structure of Mindfulness Meditation. You will learn how to practice Mindfulness Meditation while sitting and walking. If you can make it to more than one class, you will have the opportunity to discuss how the previous week of practice went, share in supporting and cheering for each other and their progress through this experience. We will continue to add to the information each week so you will have a good foundation for your own practice and growth.
About the instructor. I have been a member of Unity in Everett for at least 20 years. In October of 2021 I began an intensive five-month training to become a certified Mindfulness meditation instructor. Like many, mindfulness and mindfulness meditation has long been an interest of mine. I have done quite a bit of self-study. So, I had some threads of knowledge. I needed a foundation to build my personal practice on and the training I received in this class gave me all that and more.
It was an amazing experience to be immersed with other students from around the world, and teachers who are well known to Mindfulness practitioners. Now I know what techniques Brain Scientists and Psychologists (and others who study the effects of Mindfulness Meditation) are talking about when instructing a group of subjects to practice Mindfulness meditation for 30 days, etc. so they can measure the effects of the practice on our emotions, our mental health and our happiness.
Join us for a day of blaster play at The Everett Mall. Follow the signs to park by the north side entrance (by the closed movie theater) and get ready to have some fun in 7,600 sq ft of unused mall space.
