Favorite Artist(s) and/or Inspirations?
My favorite artists change all the time when I discover new art, so it's not really possible to come up with an all-time favorite. But right now I am really into the weird organic sculptures of Lisa Seaurchin and Sara Catapano. The shapes and textures they come up with are just so different. I also love the wildlife watercolors by Caitlin Hackett and local artist Katrina Haffner. And the exciting colors and worlds of Hannah Yata are always inspiring!
Favorite Piece You've Created?
My favorite pieces of my own change as often as my moods. At this moment it is probably... no, I can’t choose ;)
What’s the most challenging part of being an artist, or something you had to overcome?
My biggest challenge as an artist has been giving up the fear of imperfection. I was so afraid of making a mistake that I wouldn't have the courage to even start. I am still working on that. I may always be working on that in one way or another.
How can people be supportive of the arts?
Other than purchasing art, just showing appreciation and engagement is nice. Go to art events (when it's possible), share about your favorite artists.
Favorite place in Everett to eat?
Manna Teriyaki has been our go-to this year!
Favorite place in Everett to hang?
My living room! It's where my cats are!
What's next for you?
Hopefully this year I will be able to share my art in person (art fairs, galleries, etc.) instead of just online!
Where can people purchase or see more of your art?
