How did you first get started in your craft?

After studying hand-drawn animation for several years, I started to experiment with painting and found I really enjoyed it. I have been making paintings in my spare time ever since!

Favorite Artist(s) and/or Inspirations?

I love too many artists to list them all, but I'm a big fan of the pop surrealism style of art featured in magazines like Juxtapoz and Hi-Fructose.

Favorite Piece You've Created?

I like to make art that has a funny joke tied to it, and my personal favorite is my piece titled "Bigfoot Lebowski".

What’s the most challenging part of being an artist, or something you had to overcome?

For a while when I started to try making art I worried that I couldn't draw or paint as well as some other artists I looked up to, but I've learned that as long as I enjoy the process of being of creative, that's the most important thing. Now I always enjoy painting whenever I get time to.

How can people be supportive of the arts?

Go to art walks and art fairs, local galleries and see the art in person. It's always better in person than on a screen. If you're able, buy some original art, if not it's still great to follow artists you like online and share their work with your friends.

What's next for you?

I have some original paintings at Black Lab Gallery in Everett. I have some of my prints and stickers for sale at JAG ArtWorks also! I'm working on new art all the time and hope to find some new venues in Everett where I can show my work.

Where can people see more of your art?

My website and Etsy shop.
