Happy Birthday…to us!
Holy smokes. Live in Everett recently hit our five-year mark. 🎉
We’re humbled by the consistent support from so many of you and the endless goodness our community offers us to share about. We love what we do, and certainly couldn’t do it without you- our readers, our patrons, our members. This labor of love is truly a team effort. So as we celebrate 5 years, we simultaneously celebrate all of you who make Live in Everett possible!
To celebrate 5 years, we’ve launched a new merch store! Our new store is on Teepublic, a platform built for supporting independent artists.
While we’re fanatics about supporting local, we’re far from experts when it comes to merchandise. Especially merch like clothing that comes in a myriad of different cuts, colors, fabrics, and sizes.
This is why we’ve decided to partner with Teepublic. Teepublic allows you to choose from a number of different graphics, colors, men’s or women’s cut clothes, and they even offer pillows, cell phone cases and in general, a lot more than we’d ever be able to offer on our own.
Teepublic’s website allows you to see an endless combination of mocked up designs, choose exactly what you want, and they ship your order straight to you. Live in Everett gets a small cut from each sale.
We still have some merchandise available from Live in Everett directly, but partnering with Teepublic will provide two large benefits:
You will get way more options to choose from.
We’ll be able to continue focusing on what we do best, promoting and sharing about good things happening in our community.
Who doesn’t like a good win-win? You can browse Live in Everett’s Teepublic shop here.
We did place a sample order of clothes to check out the quality. Here are some thoughts from Linda + Garret:
Linda’s comments:
I’m living in sweatshirts these days so I ordered a Navy Lightweight Hoodie. I was clicking through the webpage and loved how the LIEv logo looked on the navy background. I got a women’s medium and like how the sleeves are long enough to pull over my hands. It fits slim through the hips so consider that if you need more room. I also ordered a Vintage Green Tri-blend T-Shirt for the softness. They are not kidding when they suggest ordering a size up on this tee. I usually order up to a medium because I have broad shoulders, but this t-shirt fits snug. I should have ordered a large I guess. My 11-year-old son is happy to take the shirt off my hands because luckily I ordered his favorite color.
Garret’s comments:
I had a tough time deciding which t-shirt I wanted, so I got two! Both are the male Classic T-shirts. Size large (for reference, I’m about 5’10’’ 150lbs). The t-shirts are relatively soft and lightweight; pretty standard. They are fairly thin, so I think darker colors work better. They are slightly longer than I expected, but I think they’ll shrink more over time since they’re 100% cotton. The Crewneck Sweatshirt I got in size medium is kind of short. I should have looked at the size chart before ordering (it’s a small link right above the price when viewing an item's details).
Overall, I’m happy with the quality. Linda noted that the printing wasn’t as bold as she anticipated, but that she likes the more “vintage” look. The order did take longer to arrive than expected. I contacted Teepublic after the order was late, and they offered to send a whole 2nd order as an apology. I think they (and the shipping companies) have been extra slammed because of Covid, which is understandable, but something to be mindful of when ordering.
Thank you for your continued support, friends. Here’s to five more years!
