Neighborhood Postcards: Northwest
Editor’s note: We teamed up with local artist, Rosemary Jones, to do a postcard for each of Everett’s many neighborhoods. Next up in the Neighborhood Postcard Series: The Northwest Neighborhood.
The Northwest neighborhood had plenty of scenic options to choose from. Historic houses, several parks with beautiful views of the water—and in the end I chose the Evergreen Arboretum adjacent to Legion Park.
It's full of winding paths and secret nooks, gorgeous plants, trees and sculptures. My partner and I were married here in 2007! In fact, the view I drew of the arboretum is the same view I had as I walked from the fountain to the gazebo in our ceremony. If you're local and haven't spent an afternoon in this space, I highly recommend it.
